David Paul LiBritz

Mohawk – Mr. David Paul LiBritz, 68, of Mohawk passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 in Albany Medical with his family by his side.

He was born in Ilion on November 7, 1952, the son of the late Francis and Theresa Stauring LiBritz. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1972. He served with the US Army and later served with the US Army Reserve and was Honorably Discharged October 3, 1977.  He was married to Darlynn Holtz on December 1, 1984 in Mohawk. David was employed as a Custodian for Mohawk/Central Valley Central School, Mohawk Campus for many years until his retirement in 2017. David adored his family and was always there for everyone anytime and anyplace.  He enjoyed being outdoors doing things such as hiking, biking, snowmobiling and tinkering in his garage.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Darlynn; one son, David LiBritz ll of Mohawk ; four daughters, Sonia and her husband, Richard Comstock of Bellows Falls VT, Crystal Holtz of Rome, Lynne LiBritz and Dan Rivett of Frankfort and Laura LiBritz and Alfie Andrews of Mohawk; four brothers, Jerry LiBritz of Herkimer, Michael and Ann LiBritz of Herkimer, John and Kim LiBritz of Mohawk and James LiBritz and Barbara Lambright of Frankfort; his cherished grandchildren, Kylie, Logan, Alexandria, Michaela, AJ, Vincent, Hope, Felicity, Crystee, Chase, Reese,  Reagan, Andrew, Nicholas and Peyton; two great grandchildren, Persephone and Grayson; his beloved felines, Mia and CeCe and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his mother in law, Mary Holtz.

His funeral will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the V. J.  Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Deacon Michael Carbone, Officiation. Calling hours will be Friday, July 9 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
