David A. Ackley

Herkimer - Mr. David A. Ackley, Sr., 74, of Midtown Apts. passed away peacefully Friday, May 14, 2010 in his home. He was born in Milford on January 4, 1936, the son of the late Harold and Frieda Ward Ackley and he attended Norway schools. He was married to June Madison who passed away on February 25, 2010. David was well known throughout Herkimer for his lawn care business. Mr. Ackley is survived by one daughter and son in law, Gayle and John Harrington of Little Falls; one son and daughter in law, David Arthur and Maryann Ackley, Jr. of Rotterdam; his grandchildren, Chase, DeLayne, Colby, Logan, Royce, Michael, Scott and Samantha and several cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn. His funeral will be held at the convenience of his family. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer.
