Schuyler - Mr. Daniel P. Faniglula, 67, of 154 Bono Blvd. passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 in his home with his family by his side. He was born in Utica on December 21, 1947, the son of the late Donald and Jule Bowes Faniglula and he attended schools in Clinton. Dan served with the US Army during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged with the Rank of Tech Sergeant on August 9, 1973. Daniel was employed as a carpenter at Griffiss Air Force Base for many years and later as an assembler at Orion Bus Industries, Oriskany. He was a communicant of Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills, a member of the American Legion Post #26, Clark Mills and the V.F.W Post #502, Frankfort - Ilion. Daniel is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Shannon Faniglula and her companion, Richard Rockwell and Danielle and her husband, Luke Thompson all of Sauquoit; two grandchildren, Lucian Thompson and Conner Thompson; three brothers and one sister in law, Donald and Diane Faniglula of Springhill, FL, Jack Faniglula of Clark Mills and Robert Faniglula and his fiancé, Barbara Aceto of Frankfort; his close friend, Joe Penree of Schuyler and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, David Faniglula. His funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Brother Ed Bick, officiating. Spring interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 14th from 4-7 PM. Members of the American Legion Post #26, Clark Mills will meet Wednesday at 6:00 for services at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
