Connie M. Dowhaniak

Mrs. Connie M. Dowhaniak Frankfort - Mrs. Connie M. Dowhaniak, 80, of 127 Eighth Ave passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 23, 2006 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rochester on July 11, 1926, the daughter of the late Peter and Laura Nicastro Conigliaro and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Michael Dowhaniak on April 10, 1948 in St. Mary's Church. Mr. Dowhaniak passed away on May 19, 1990. Mrs. Dowhaniak was the owner and operator with her brother Paul of Thurston Lanes, Frankfort for many years until her retirement in 1994. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Addolorata Society. Connie is survived by one daughter, Mary Dowhaniak of Frankfort; one sister & brother in law, Mary & Dominick Green of Frankfort; one brother & sister in law, Paul & Phylis Conigilaro of Frankfort; her aunts and uncles, Anna Camarata, Mary Conguliaro, Philip Nicastro, Josie & Joseph Enea and Paul & Ann Conigliaro; her very special niece, Marguarite Green; her beloved canine, Abbey and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie's memory may be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association of the Frankfort Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Corps.
