Mr. Chris Breit
Frankfort - Mr. Chris Breit, 56, of 615 Second Ave Ext passed away peacefully Saturday, December 2, 2006 in Bassett Health Care with his loving wife, Robbi by his side.
He was born in Kansas on February 6, 1950, the son of the late Leo and Nora Teal Breit. The family moved to California when Chris was a young boy. He graduated from Compton High School with the class of 1968. He later attended Cerritos College and various Electrical Training Institutes and worked as an electrical contractor in California for many years. On May 6, 1995, Chris married the love of his life, Roberta Hughes. Together the couple were the owners and operators of Polymer Concepts, a plastic molding business in Corona, CA. In 1998 they sold the business and moved to Robbi's hometown, Frankfort. Chris was most recently employed as the Maintenance Supervisor for Burrows Paper Co, Little Falls. Chris was especially proud of attaining his Eagle Scout award at the age of 15. His interest in scouting led him to later become a Scout Master and enjoy an enthusiasm for and a love of outdoor life. He was happiest when at their family camp on Otter Lake. He enjoyed teaching his wife and children to love the water, the woods and the wildlife as he did. Chris was a gentle, caring and thoughtful man who earned the respect and genuine friendship of all who knew him.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Robbi Breit; one daughter, Megan; one son, Maxwell, all at home; two sisters, Vicky of Hastings, MN and Susan of Seattle, WA; one brother, Daryl of Anaheim, CA; his father in law & mother in law, Robert & Margaret Hughes of Frankfort; his in laws, Jon & Mary Hughes and their daughters, Maria & Jenna of Ilion and Daniel & Lisa Hughes and their sons, Robert & Zackary of Effort, PA and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his infant twin sons, John Francis Breit and Robert Nelson Breit on February 14, 2000.
His funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-7 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to all of Chris and Robbi's friends and his colleagues at Burrows for their expressions of love and caring. The family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses of Bassett Hospital's ICU for their valiant efforts and tender care during his stay and passing.
