Frankfort-Charlotte Coniguliaro, 74, of S. Litchfield St. passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort on October 31, 1936, the daughter of the late Charles and Dora Chard Amato and she attended Frankfort schools.
Charlotte worked as a Residential Counselor for the New York State DSO in Herkimer until her retirement in 1998. She loved her work and was very pro-quality of life. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the St. Francis Di Paolo Society. Charlotte was a huge animal lover and leaves behind her three best friends; Chiquita, Minnie and Dante as well as her cat, Onyx.
Charlotte is survived by two daughters, Lorrie and her husband, David Zalocha of Frankfort and Theresa and her husband, Joseph Tripple of Frankfort; two sons, Paul Coniguliaro and his wife Bonnie of Ilion and Joseph Coniguliaro and his wife, Christine of Saquoit; one sister, Carmalita Aiello of Frankfort; her grandchildren who she was so proud of, David and Aaron Zalocha, Paul Jr., Angelica and Shaina Coniguliaro, Santina Watson, Maria Sayles, Megan Bloomfield, and Stream, Quinn and Benjamin Coniguliaro. She was predeceased by her brother, James Amato and her brothers in law, Jim Aiello and Julius Coniguliaro.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin. Spring interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Charlotte's family would like to extend a special thank you to Lori Aiello and Kelly as well as the staff at St. Luke's ICU for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her.
