Charles F. Gage

Schuyler - Mr. Charles F. Gage, 95, of 137 Watkins Rd, Frankfort passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. He was born in Schenectady on April 24, 1913, the son of the late Peter and Anna Eicke Gage and he attended Utica schools. He was married to Ardis Finster in June of 1939. Ardis passed away on October 6, 1973. Charles was later married to Mary Zelie on August 9, 1974 in Herkimer Pentecostal Church. Mr. Gage was employed as an installer & repairman for Morehouse Appliance, Utica until his retirement in 1979 after 45 years of dedicated service to the customers. He attended the Christian Assembly of Schuyler. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Mary Gage; one step son & daughter in law, David & Susan Zelie of Barrington, NH; two step daughters and sons in law, Dale & Richard Rima of Parish, NY & Donna & Rob Trubiano of Willow Street, PA; his grandchildren, Matthew Zelie, Liz Zelie, Mary Helen Zelie, Deborah Zelie, Alex Rima, Meg & her husband, William Eichorst and Amy & her husband, Jim Spencer; four great grandchildren, Billy Eichorst, Julie Eichorst, Ben Eichorst and Beverley Spencer and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 12:00 pm in Christian Assembly of Schuyler, Rt. 5 Schuyler with the Rev. Robert Burge, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Oak View Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.
