Frankfort-Mr. Charles S. Amendolare formerly of 404 S. Litchfield St. passed away Monday, July 23, 2007 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. He was born in Frankfort on April 3, 1915, the son of the late George and Mary Frances Tromboli Amendolare and he attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort High School with the class of 1933. He later served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was married to Angeline M. Internicola on December 2, 1944 in St. Mary's Church. Angie passed away on December 12, 2000. Charlie was at one time employed by Standard Desk and later as an Equipment Operator for New York State Thruway Authority, Herkimer for many years until his retirement in 1982. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a former member of the Ilion Moose Lodge #1010 Charlie is survived by two sons & daughters in law, George & Barbara Amendolare of Hibbing, MN and Charles & Judy Amendolare of Ilion; one daughter & son in law, Ann F. & Raymond D' Aiuto of Worchester, MA; two brothers & sisters in law, Alfred & Carolyn Amendolare of Frankfort and George & Katherine Amendolare of Ilion; one sister, & brother in law Jennie & Pat Winkler of CA; his in laws, Joseph & Joyce Internicola, Mary & Joseph Bianchi, Annette Amendolare and Charles Valenti; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grand children and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Patsy Amendolare and Infant Joseph Amendolare and four sisters, Frances Vivacqua, Helen Valenti, Victoria Paoni and Josephine Winkler. His funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:00 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 9:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Charles's online memorial page by going to www.iocovozzifuneralhomes.com
