Celia R. Scaccia

Mrs. Celia R. Scaccia Utica - Mrs. Celia R. Scaccia, 86, of 2420 Oneida St passed away Friday, March 2, 2007 in Sitrin Health Care Center. She was born in Utica on January 19, 1921 the daughter of the late Semplecio and Amalia Altibeli Stivali and she attended Utica schools. On July 3 1944, she was united in marriage to Angelo Scaccia, of Rome in St. Mary of Mt Carmel, Utica. Mr. Scaccia passed away on December of 1968. Mrs. Scaccia was employed as a tester for GE, Utica until her retirement in 1980. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt Carmel Church/Blessed Sacrament Parish, Utica. Celia is survived by one son & daughter in law, Angelo & Marilyn Scaccia of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one daughter in law, Sonja & her husband Ralph Nicastro of Mesa, AZ; her grandchildren, Lisa Nicastro, Christopher Scaccia, Michael & his wife, Amy Scaccia and Michele & John Brennen; one great granddaughter, Ashley Nicastro; her nieces and nephews, Molly & her husband, Thomas Lisandrelli of Frankfort, Cheryl Jo Stack of AZ, Toni & her husband, Frank Minutti of Sauquoit, Thomas & his wife, Louise Damiano of Utica and Celia Zarcone of Palm Bay, FL and several cousins. She was predeceased by one grandson, Patrick Nicastro, two sisters, Lucille Perritano and Victoria Damiano and one brother, Alfred Stivali. Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 in St. Mary Of Mt Carmel Church/Blessed Sacrament where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Rose, pastor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.
