Cecilia L. Soposki

Mrs. Cecilia L. Soposki Jordanville - Mrs. Cecilia L. Soposki, 88, of Jordanville Rd. passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in Folts Home. She was born in Goshen on April 1, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Malinowski Brodowski and she attended Fords Bush schools. She was married to Michael Soposki on May 12, 1946 in Sacred Heart Church, Little Falls. Mr. Soposki passed away on October 2, 1994. Cecilia was employed as seamstress for Doufold, Inc., Mohawk for many years until her retirement in the 1960's. She was a Communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. Cecilia is survived by one son and daughter in law, Joseph and Joyce Soposki of Mohawk; one daughter and son in law, Teresa and Richard Case of N. Syracuse; three grandsons, Gregory Soposki, Jason and his wife, Suzanne Soposki and Luke Soposki; a brother, Frank Brodowski of Monroe, NC; three sisters in law, Mary Brodowski of Utica, Stephanie Brodowski of Ballston Spa and Ann Soposki of Jordanville; and two great grandsons, John Michael Soposki and Stephen Dygert. She was predeceased by three brothers, Henry Brodowski, John Brodowski and Walter Brodowski. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 9:30 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 10 AM in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
