Cecilia B. Myers

Mrs. Cecilia B. Myers Herkimer - Mrs. Cecilia B. Myers, 90, of Formerly Of Francis St, Herkimer and of 126 Sheldon Ave. Frankfort was reunited with her beloved husband, Fred on Friday, February 11, 2005 in her daughter and son in law, Patricia & Forbie James Gegler's home, Mohawk. She was born in Schenectady on October 25, 1914, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Pierzka Buchman. She attended Schenectady and Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the Class of 1932. She later attended and graduated from Faxton Hospital as a Registered Nurse with the Class of 1936. Cecilia was married to Fred B. Myers on October 23, 1937 in St. Francis De Sales Church By Rev. Mc Carthy. Mr. Myers passed away on March 25, 2003. Mrs. Myers was a Registered Nurse for Herkimer Memorial Hospital, Herkimer for many years until her retirement in 1968. She was a Communicant of St. Francis De Sales Church and a member of Knights Of Columbus Council #579, Aux. Herkimer. Mrs. Myers was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and soon to be a great great grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family and knit for them. Cecilia is survived by her son, Richard W. Myers, Frankfort; her best friend and daughter, Patricia & and her husband, Forbie James Gegler of Mohawk; two grandchildren, Robert & his wife, Jean Gegler and Jeffrey & his wife, Kathy Gegler; three great grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah and Robert and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edmund Buchman and John Buchman and two sisters, Sophie Buchman and Mary Buchman. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer with Rev. Mark Cunningham, Pastor of St. Francis De Sales Church, Officiating. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday morning from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cecilia's memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
