Ilion - Mr. Bruce G. Clark, 79, of 599 Spinnerville Gulf Rd. passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born in Frankfort on December 3, 1933, the son of the late E. Richard and Hazel Innens Clark and was educated in Frankfort and Ilion schools. Bruce served with the US Air Force during the Korean War and was Honorably Discharged on November 4, 1954. He was married to Joan Gala on September 3, 1955 in SS Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, E. Herkimer. He was employed as a Supervisor for Union Fork and Hoe Co., Frankfort for 39 years until his retirement in April 18, 1997. He was a member of Frankfort United Methodist Church and the St. Francis Di Paolo Society.
Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Clark; two sons and one daughter in law, Bruce John Clark and his companion, Cheryl Leatz of Jamesville, NY and Lawrence and Tina Clark of W. Winfield; his cherished grandson, Joseph Clark; two brothers and one sister in law, Gary and Arlene Clark of Kissimmee, FL and Adrian Clark of Herkimer; two sisters and one brother in law, Nella Mae Harter and Marilyn and Michael Paragi, all of Ilion; his in laws, Dorothy Kaltoff of Ilion, Mildred and Ted Alexandrowicz of Mohawk and John and Rose Gala of Cape Coral, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Barbara Dickerson and one brother, Richard Clark.
His funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:30 AM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Interment will be in Oak View Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-8 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the St. Francis Society will meet Thursday evening at 6:30 at the funeral home for services.
