Mrs. Barbara Ann Massey
Frankfort-Schuyler- Mrs. Barbara Ann Massey, 67, of 3393 State Route 5 passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2005 in Bassett Health Care with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort on June 3, 1938, the daughter of the late Howard and Beatrice Kane Payne and she attended Frankfort schools graduating from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1955. She was married to Richard Massey on July 26, 1958 in St. Peter´s & Paul´s Church, Frankfort. Barbara was at one time employed by Mohawk Airlines and later for National Heater. She was lastly employed by Hamilton Digital, Utica for many years until her retirement in 1993. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church. Barbara´s family were the most important aspect in her life. She loved her children and grandchildren and loved to garden.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Massey; two sons & daughters in law, Darryl & Nancy Massey of Wind Lake, WI. and Eric & Doreen Massey of Ilion; one daughter & son in law, Sharyl & Peter LoRe of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Melissa Massey, Joseph LoRe, Danielle LoRe and, Connor Massey; her mother in law & father in law, Lena & Charles Casullo of Utica; in laws, Harold & Mimi Wood of New Hartford, Lauren Massey of Binghamton and Dale & Angie Massey of FL; her nephew, Dennis & his wife, Adele Wood; close friend, Carolyn Goodhines and several aunts, uncles, neices, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Beverly Wood and her nephew, Scott Wood.
Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 am in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with the Rev. John Yanas, Pastor of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church, officiating. Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 8:30 until the time of the service. Barbara's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Bassett Health Care and Otsego County Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing.
