Aurora Daver Frank

Herkimer - Mrs. Aurora Daver Frank, 88, of 208 West Smith St. passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 in Bassett Health Care with her family by her side. She was born in Herkimer on January 30, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Macrina Scalise and she attended Herkimer schools. She was married to Dominic J. Ming Frank on December 27, 1947 in St. Anthony's Church. Ming passed away on April 3, 2005. Daver was employed as a Filer for Remington Arms, Ilion for many years until her retirement in 1985. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, a member of the Town of Herkimer Senior Citizens and was a Committee Woman for the Herkimer County Republican Committee. Daver is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Dominic Frank and Karen Peterson of Herkimer and Mark and Alice Frank of St. Michael, MN; three grandchildren, Matthew Frank, Alan Frank and Mark Frank; her sister in law, Eleanor Scalise of Herkimer; all of her beloved neighbors on Smith St.; her special friends at Burger King and the Herkimer Stewarts as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Dominic Frank on March 31, 1950, five brothers, Orient Scalise, Michael Scalise, Joseph Scalise, Orleans Cappy Scalise and Edward Scalise as well as four sisters, Susan Henry, Stella Paoni, Theresa Van Vechten and Helen Tripolone. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer and at 9:30 in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless, pastor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. Daver's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation the 3rd floor doctors, nurses and staff of Little Falls Hospital and Bassett Health Care, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to her during her stay and passing.
