Anthony Joseph Morra

Herkimer - Mr. Anthony Joseph Morra, 71, of 340 S. Main St. passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was born in Herkimer on January 13, 1942, the son of the late Rocco and Leona Bernier Morra. He attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1960. He later attended and graduated from the Utica School of Commerce with the class of 1962. Tony was at one time employed by Allegro Shoe, later the Library Bureau and lastly for MDS. He was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. Tony was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to golf, hunt, fish, camp and spend time in his garden. Tony is survived by one son, Brock Morra of Herkimer; one sister and brother in law, Sondra and Mario Stagliano of Herkimer; one brother, Ben Morra of Herkimer; two grandsons, Tino Morra and Joshua Morra and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St., Herkimer, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S.
