Mrs. Anna Theresa Macri Smith
Liverpool - Frankfort - Mrs. Anna Theresa Macri Smith, 88, of 4835 Juneway Drive N. formerly of Frankfort passed away Thursday, May 12, 2005 in Francis House.
She was born in Herkimer on April 17, 1917, the daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia Biase Macri and she attended Herkimer schools. She was married to George C. Smith on February 5, 1955 in St. Anthony´s Church, Herkimer. Mr. Smith passed away on January 8, 2004 Mrs. Smith was employed as a seamstress for Derby Sportswear, Herkimer for many years. Anna was later employed in the cafeteria for General Electric, Syracuse. She was a Communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool and a former Communicant of Sts. Peter & Paul´s Church, Frankfort. Anna was a loving and caring person to her family and friends. She loved to cook and sew. She welcomed everyone into her home with love and kindness.
Anna is survived by her beloved daughter, Georgina Smith of Liverpool; her granddaughter, Shannon Traver; two great grandchildren, Kaylee West and Lathaniel Temple; six sisters and one brother in law, Catherine Parise of Phoenix, Az., Clara Potenza of Frankfort, Mary Patrocca of Amsterdam, Lucy Losito of Herkimer, Rita & Francis Varano of Herkimer and Frances Talarico of Broadalbin; her in laws, Marilyn Macri of Herkimer, Norma Zakhar and Mary Commons both of MI and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by step mother, Teresa Macri; three sisters, Liz Bonilla, Antoinette Costello, and Carmella Furlong and three brothers, Nick Macri, Anthony "Sonny" Macri and Peter Macri.
Her funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 12:00 pm from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 12:30 pm in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Lamanna, Pastor Emeritus. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
