Mrs. Anna J. Camarata
Frankfort - Mrs. Anna J. Camarata, 91, formerly of 400 Litchfield St and presently of Denicola's Easy Living passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
She was born in Frankfort on July 30, 1916, the daughter of the late Paul and Concetta Conigilaro and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Frank Camarata on November 11, 1939 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. Camarata passed away on April 19, 1992. Mrs. Camarata was employed by Univac in both the Ilion & Utica Plants for many years until her retirement in 1978. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of it's Altar Rosary Society, the Young At Heart Senior Citizens, St. Francis Di Paolo Society Aux. and the Addolorata Society. She was an active volunteer for Catholic Charities for many years.
Anna is survived by one son & daughter in law, Joseph & Renee Camarata of Frankfort; two daughters, Grace Pontero of Mohawk and Concetta Kinney of Frankfort; one brother, Paul Conigilaro of Rochester; one sister & brother in law, Josephine & Joseph Enea of Kirkland; her in laws, Mary Conigularo of Schuyler, Jennie Bellino of Frankfort and Frances Elow of New Hartford; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grand children and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sons in law, Ronald Pontero on February 18, 1987 and Nicholas Kinney on February 17, 2006, seven brothers, Joseph Conigilaro, George Conigilaro, John Conigilaro, Dominick Conigularo, Peter Conigilaro, Anthony Conigilaro and Angelo Conigilaro.
Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:15 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:00 am in Church of the Annunciation where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Lamanna. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens will meet Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at the funeral home for services.
