Ann Faber Pawluk

HERKIMER - Ann Faber Pawluk, 94, of Walnut Street, Herkimer, passed away Sunday evening, August 14th, 2011, at The Lutheran Home, Clinton, NY, with her niece, Joan, by her side. She was of Dutch descent, born in Tjalleberd, Holland, on June 8, 1917. She immigrated to the United States with her family in November of 1923, crossing on a ship named, "The Ryndam". From New York City, the family took up residence at 54 Columbia St., Ilion, NY. Ann attended Ilion schools and was later employed by Sperry Rand. During that time, she met her future husband, Andrew Pawluk. They were married on July 28, 1956, and enjoyed a close, loving relationship until they were parted by his death on December 7, 1999. In life, Ann was a proud woman and fiercely protective of her privacy and so it is, that in death, we respect her wishes by having no calling hours and a private burial at the convenience of her surviving nieces and nephews.
