Frankfort - Mrs. Angie Thurston, 83, of 307 Garden St. passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Frankfort on September 25, 1928, the daughter of the late Guy and Josephine Corad Antonucci and she attended Frankfort schools. Angie was married to Joseph "Smokey" Thurston on September 2, 1950 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Joe passed away on April 1, 1994. Mrs. Thurston was employed by Union Fork & Hoe Co., Univac, Ilion plant and later for MDS, Herkimer. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Angie is survived by her beloved daughter, Angela Thurston of Frankfort; one grandson, Todd Thurston and his companion, Heather Dombrowski of Canastota; her great granddaughter, Layla; her in laws, Rose and Ernie Marcantonio of Utica and Douglas Crescent of New Hartford; her special cousin, Violet DiMaggio of Frankfort; beloved canine, Jo Jo and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, James Thurston on April 26, 2011 and her sister, Mary Ann Antonucci on July 17, 1995. Her funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 1:30 PM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the V.Rev. Anthony Barratt and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
