Mr. Angelo J. Sweet Frankfort - Mr. Angelo J. Sweet, 89, of 310 Bee St passed away peacefully Saturday, October 27, 2007 in his home. He was born in Herkimer on February 9, 1918, the son of the late Guiseppe and Philomina Petrulina Sweet and he attended Herkimer schools. He was married to Mary N. Tripple on October 29, 1938 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. The couple had a blessed union of 69 years until Mary's passing on October 9, 2007. Mr. Sweet was employed as an assembler for Union Fork And Hoe Co., Frankfort for 40 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a devout communicant and attendee of Novena at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the St. Francis Di Paolo Society. Angelo was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed fishing. Angelo is survived by three daughters & two sons in law, Phyllis & Augustine Fraccola, Rose & Mathew Zennamo and Bernadette Enjem all of Frankfort; one son, Joseph Sweet Sr, of Frankfort; two sisters, Josephine Tartaglia of Utica and Carmella (Louisa) Walawender of Herkimer; two brothers & sisters in law, Joseph & Katherine Sweet of Newport and Nicholas & Ada Sweet of TX; his in laws, James and Helen Tripple, Yolanda Tripple and Bertha Sweet; nine beloved grandchildren, Maria Johnson, Gina Haley, Gusty Fraccola, Ronald Fobare, Gregory Fobare, Suzette Wright, Francis Enjem, Valerie Moore and Joseph Sweet Jr; fourteen great grand children and one great great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four brothers, Anthony Sweet, William Sweet, Michael Sweet and Charles Boots Sweet and three sisters, Rose Martin, Frances Bianco and Pearl Rulewicz. His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9:15 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 am in Church of the Annunciation where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Tuesday, from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the St. Francis Society will meet Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home for services.
