Angela Weakley Deshaies

Herkimer - Mrs. Angela "Bunny" Weakley Deshaies, 66, of 150 W. German St passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. She was born in Herkimer on July 13, 1942, the daughter of the late John Leo and Philomena "Fanny" Cassella Foti. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1960. Bunny was at one time married to Bing Weakley. She was later united in marriage with Paul Deshaies on October 19, 1996 in Herkimer. Bunny was employed as the Restaurant Manager for Best Western, Syracuse for many years until returning to Herkimer following her retirement. She was a member of New Life Church. Bunny had a great love for music and her family; she opened her heart and her home to people from all walks of life. She will be remembered for her generosity, her humor, her directness and her zest for life. Angela is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Deshaies; two sons & daughters in law, Michael & Lisa Weakley and David & Larmi Weakley, all of Syracuse; one daughter, Lisa Rudy of Detroit, MI; her grandchildren, Amber Weakley, Philip Rudy, Thomas Rudy, Michael Weakley Jr, Connor Weakley, Davis Weakley and Will Weakley; her brother in law, Robert Zuccaro of N. Utica; three nephews, Robert & his wife, Mary Zuccaro Jr, Richard & his wife, Jennifer Zuccaro and Ronald Zuccaro and several cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Ann Zuccaro on June 14, 1994. Her funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 pm in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer with the Rev. Joseph Jansen, pastor of New Life Church officiating. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-3 & 5-7 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
