Alexandra Krywka

Little Falls - Alexandra Krywka 97, of Little Falls passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the home of her son, Nick in Underhill, VT with her family by her side.

She was born in Kniaze, Ukraine on April 12, 1924, the daughter of the late Philip and Warwara Mohylka Humeniuk and she attended schools there. She was married to Mykola “Nick” Krywka on September 9, 1949 in Germany. The family came to the United States in 1950. Nick passed away on January 26, 2010. Alexandra was a Seamstress for Allegro Shoes, Little Falls until her retirement in 1985. She was a devoted communicant of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church and a member of it’s Sisterhood and the church choir.

Alexandra is survived by one son, Nick Krywka of Underhill, VT; one daughter, Helen Krywka of Colchester, Vt; her beloved grandchildren, Nash Krywka and Kiley Krywka Chamberlin married to Andy, were her pride and joy, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Maria, and her son in law, Thomas Towler.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10:15 from the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.,  203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 11:00 in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Moore Ave., Herkimer with the V.Rev Ivan Semko. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 4-7 at the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Paratas will be held  Monday evening at 5:00PM with Father Semko officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY
