Herkimer - Mr. Adrian O'Keefe, 69, of 435 N. Bellinger St. passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. He was born in Riverside, NJ on August 21, 1941, the son of the late William J. and Kathleen E. Fleming O'Keefe. He attended and graduated from Archbishop William High School, Braintree, MA and he received his Master's Degree from Syracuse University. Adrian served with the US Navy in the Eighth Naval District aboard the USS Casa Grande and was Honorably Discharged on February 16, 1960. He was married to Linda Burns on July 4, 1997 in Tolland Ct. Mr. O'Keefe was a Counselor for Dolgeville Schools and later for Herkimer County BOCES, Herkimer for many years. He served as a Substance Abuse Counselor for Herkimer County and also had his private practice, AOK Services in Herkimer for many years. He was a member of Christian Assembly of Schuyler. Adrian is survived by his beloved wife, Linda O'Keefe; one son & daughter in law, Sean & Amanda O'Keefe of Ballston Spa; one daughter & son in law, Kelly & Kevin Pocos of Canton, OH; two sisters and brothers in law, Kay Doherty and her husband, Ron Dubois of Braintree, MA and Mary E. and her husband, Richard J. Vincent of Canton, CT; two brothers and one sister in law, Kevin O'Keefe of Braintree, MA. and William J. Jr. and his wife, Yolande O'Keefe of Tolland, CT; his step children, Melissa Pine and her husband Robert of Herkimer, Sam Lamanna and his wife Cynthia of Whitesboro and Cory Lamanna of Utica; his grandchildren, Kayla, Ryan and Matthew; his step grandchildren, Courtney, Victoria, R.J, Mikhayla, McKenzie and Riley and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral will be held Monday morning at 11:00 AM in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer with the Rev. Robert Burge, pastor of the Christian Assembly of Schuyler, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-7 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home.
